A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, Anne began her career cooking in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean kitchens, where she developed a deep appreciation for verdant herbs, grounding spices, and quality ingredients.
She then transitioned to professional recipe development, food science, and product innovation. Anne spent nearly five years at America’s Test Kitchen, co-authoring cookbooks — including IACP award winners The Complete Mediterranean Cookbook, Breads Illustrated, and The Complete Diabetes Cookbook, as well as bestsellers like Vegan for Everybody.
An experienced chocolatier, Anne is passionate about sustainable, conscientious single-origin craft chocolate making and the artistry of fine confectionery. She teaches the chocolatier courses at Boston University’s Professional Pastry Arts Program.
